How to determine whether your Windows XP is 32-bit or 64-bit? You need to know when you want to install certain software.
Problem is that in 32-bit systems they don’t show it explicitly; that is if you have a 32 bit system you won’t see 64 anywhere
. However, with Vista they display whether you’re on 32-bit or 64-bit.
You can find whether you’re using 32-bit or 64-bit system in a few easy steps.
Go to the control panel and pick the category Performance and Maintenance.
Then select system
In the General Tab of the dialog that appears
And that’s it.
AndLinux is a free Linux system based on Ubuntu running under Windows. This works under Windows 2000, XP, 2003 Server and also Vista. It is something like a virtual system.
In andLinux Linux is not running under a separate window as in a traditional emulators; instead, programs run under andLinux will have its own windows, so that they would be much different from Windows programs.

AndLinux acts as a Windows service so you can set it to start automatically or start it manually when you want. Another great advantage of this is that you can install any Linux software on this without going through any conversion process; that is, you can use all the Linux programs you love on windows.
And the best thing is that for those of you who have devices which don’t have Linux drivers (mainly modems – ya, I also had that problem), it’s no more a problem. You don’t need drivers!
andLinux is also great if you are new to Linux. Because installing Linux on a computer with Windows isn’t very simple.
Last Thursday, I was given a CDMA modem so that I could connect to the SAP server from home. (I no longer have to go to office regularly
) . I installed it soon after I came home, but the connection was much slower than I expected. I could hardly work on SAP and I knew that browsing internet through the company proxy was going to be terrible. So I thought of plugging in the ADSL modem at the same time so that I can use internet through the ADSL connection.
When I plugged in the ADSL modem and connected, internet was working fine but not the connection to the SAP server. Then I unplugged both modems connected ADSL first and then the CDMA – only SAP was working
. Then I tried changing the connection properties – like connect using both connections; none of it worked.
So, I talked to an expert – Sandaruwan; he said he doesn’t know. Later on Sunday, when I was asking him again and again he said he will find a way and he did.
I had to add an entry to routing table using the command route. It was simple, I just had to add an entry for the SAP server – single command.
You can find good examples of doing this here, and some information about routing tables here.
